Overview
Promax delivers products throughout New Zealand. Delivery options, freight charges, and delivery timeframes vary depending on the product ordered, the delivery location, and site access requirements.
Where applicable, freight charges will be shown at checkout, included in your quote, or confirmed by our team before dispatch.
Manufacturing lead times
Many Promax products are manufactured to order. Estimated manufacturing lead times before dispatch are published on our Lead Times page and may change from time to time depending on demand and production scheduling.

Delivery coverage
We deliver throughout New Zealand.
Please note:
- We cannot deliver to PO boxes.
- Some remote areas, outer islands, and inter-island deliveries may incur additional freight charges.
- Delivery availability may vary for certain products by region.
Delivery by product type
Tanks under 10,000L and selected smaller products
For products under 10,000 litres, delivery is generally freight-free to a Promax dealer or the nearest carrier depot. In some cases, freight-free delivery may also apply to an address within 10km of a Promax factory. Direct-to-site delivery is usually available at an additional freight charge.
Delivery for smaller tanks and accessories may be completed by Promax or one of our appointed freight carriers.
For some products, unloading equipment may be required at the receiving site. Where a forklift is not available, additional charges may apply. Hiab delivery may also be required for certain larger small-format tanks.
Above-ground tanks 10,000L and over
Promax ENDURO and XPRESS above-ground tanks 10,000 litres and larger are generally delivered freight-free to the end-user’s site, as close as practical to the requested delivery location, provided suitable access is available.
Delivery is completed by Promax or one of our appointed delivery contractors.
Underground tanks
Delivery arrangements for underground tanks vary depending on size and region.
Certain underground tank sizes may qualify for freight-free metro delivery to end-user sites in Auckland and Christchurch, while other deliveries may be freight-free only to a dealer or nearest carrier depot. In some cases, unloading remains the customer’s responsibility, and direct-to-site surcharges or Hiab charges may apply.
If you are ordering an underground tank and are unsure what applies to your location, please contact our team before ordering.
Site access and unloading requirements
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure there is safe and suitable access for delivery and unloading.
Depending on the product ordered, delivery may require:
- Clear truck or truck-and-trailer access.
- Adequate space for unloading.
- A suitable contact person on site.
- Safe clearance from trees, power lines, and other obstructions.
- Site unloading equipment such as a forklift, where required.
If access is restricted or unloading cannot be completed safely, delivery may be made to the nearest safe location, postponed, or subject to additional charges.
Where a Hiab or other special delivery service is required, this must be arranged in advance and additional charges may apply.
Delivery timeframes after dispatch
Delivery timeframes after dispatch are estimates only and depend on the destination, freight schedules, access conditions, and other operational factors.
Promax is not liable for delays in delivery, and delays do not automatically give rise to a right to cancel an order or claim compensation.
Inter-island, remote, and outer island deliveries
Inter-island deliveries may incur a freight surcharge. Additional freight surcharges may also apply for deliveries to remote areas and outer islands, including locations such as Waiheke Island.
Receiving your order
A contact person and phone number must be provided for all deliveries.
When your order arrives, please inspect it carefully before signing for receipt. Check that the correct items have been delivered and that there is no visible freight damage.
If proof of delivery is signed as received in good order and condition, damage-in-transit claims may not be accepted.
Damaged or missing items
If your order arrives damaged or items are missing, please notify us within 24 hours of receipt.
Please also keep all damaged packaging, as this may be required for freight or insurance assessment.
Claims reported outside this timeframe may not be accepted.

Delivery changes, rescheduling, and failed delivery
If a customer requests a change to the delivery date, rescheduling, re-routing, or if delivery cannot be completed due to site access or unloading issues, additional charges may apply.
For some product categories, fixed cancellation or rescheduling fees may apply. Storage, return, or re-delivery charges may also be charged where relevant.
Product availability and delivery exclusions
Some products may only be available freight-free in certain regions, and some products may be temporarily unavailable. Delivery arrangements may also differ by product family and island.
If a product has special freight conditions, these will be confirmed by our team at the time of quoting or order processing.
