Freight Terms & Conditions

At this time, we only deliver to New Zealand addresses, large items will be delivered to freight company depots for pick up.  Big above ground tanks (over 10,000 litres) and 1.9m Underground tanks will be delivered by Promax Plastics on specialised trucks, we will contact you to arrange delivery.  We do not deliver to Post Office boxes. 

Please note that a signature is required for all deliveries. It does remain the responsibility of the recipient to inspect goods prior to signing for the delivery. If goods are lost or damaged in transit, please contact us within 5 business days at: support@promax.co.nz

We will use this delivery information to make a claim against our freight company. We will offer you the choice of a replacement or a full refund, once we have received confirmation from our freight company that delivery was not successful. 

Freight charges per item are quoted at the time of purchase.  Please see the delivery details outlined below for each category of tank. 

Time of Performance: 

Time shall in no case be of essence. The Vendor shall not be responsible for any delay in delivery of the Goods and the Customer shall not be entitled to cancel orders because of any such delay. Dates for delivery are given in good faith and are not to be treated as a condition of sale or purchase. 

Delivery: 

Where the Order makes provision for delivery then delivery shall take place at the place stated in the Order and agreed on by the Customer and the Vendor. If no place is indicated then delivery shall be make at the physical address of the Customer as set out in the application.

Aboveground Tanks 450 - 5,000 litres, including Slimline Tanks:  

• Delivery is via Promax, or its appointed carrier. Normally this will take place within current advised lead time from placement of your order.   

• Truck access is required.    

• A contact person and phone number must be provided to receive delivery. 

Delivery Cancellation Fee:  

• Customer requests for an alternative delivery date, rescheduling or re-routing of the carrier or inability to unload at site, may incur a return or storage fee.   

Delivery to DEALER or CARRIER DEPOT:

• All our products in this range are FREIGHT FREE to Dealer or Carrier depot (see notes and exceptions). 

Delivery to SITE or CUSTOMER:

• For deliveries to site/direct to customer a FREIGHT CHARGE AND/OR HIAB CHARGE IS TYPICALLY APPLICABLE which will be added at time of order.  

• For 1,000L and less tanks only a freight charge will apply (see notes and exceptions).

• For 2,000 – 5,000L tanks freight charges will apply, and a Hiab fee will be added to the order where receiving site does not have a forklift available to unload. Manpower, excavators etc. are not suitable nor permitted by our carriers. 

• Slimline Tanks to AUCKLAND METRO are Hiab free to site (see notes and exceptions).

• 2,000 & 3,000L Slimline Tanks to CHRISTCHURCH METRO are Hiab free to site (see notes and exceptions).

• Slimline Tanks to rest of country are not delivered to sites, only to Dealer or Carrier Depot and freight charges will apply, including an inter-island charge for South Island orders.

Aboveground 10,000 litres, or greater: 

• All Promax ENDURO and XPRESS tanks, 10,000 litre and larger, are delivered free to your property on a non hiab truck (see notes and exceptions). If a hiab is required this can be arranged, however will incur a hiab charge.    

• Delivery is via Promax or one of its appointed contractors. Delivery normally will take place within current advised lead time from placement of your order.   

• Truck and Trailer access is required.    

• A contact person and phone number must be provided to receive delivery.  

• We will endeavour to deliver your tank as close as practically possible to your desired drop off location, but if there is limited access, over hanging trees or power lines or for whatever reason our driver feels it is not safe or practical to do so, your tank will be delivered to the closest safe area to your site / address.

Delivery Cancellation Fee:  

• Customer requests for an alternative delivery date, rescheduling or re-routing of the carrier, will incur a fee of $800 per tank.  

Underground and Septic 0.75, 0.9, 1.0 and 1.2m Tanks:

• Delivery is via Promax or one of its appointed contractors. Delivery normally will take within current advised lead time from placement of your order.   

• Truck and Trailer access is required.    

• A contact person and phone number must be provided to receive delivery.  

Delivery Cancellation Fee:

• Customer requests for an alternative delivery date, rescheduling or re-routing of the carrier, will incur a fee of $800 per tank. 

Delivery to DEALER or CARRIER DEPOT 

• Freight-free to your dealer, or Carrier depot (see notes and exceptions).

• Hiab fee will apply if it is required for delivery (excluding Auckland and Christchurch metro areas)

Delivery to SITE or CUSTOMER:

• For deliveries to site/direct to customer a FREIGHT CHARGE AND/OR HIAB CHARGE IS TYPICALLY APPLICABLE which will be added at time of order

• AUCKLAND METRO and CHRISTCHURCH METRO are Hiab FREE to site (see notes and exceptions).

For the rest of New Zealand: 

• For 1,000L and Less tanks only a freight charge will apply.

• For 2,000L and larger tanks freight charges will apply, and a Hiab fee will be added to order where receiving site does not have a forklift available to unload. Manpower, excavators etc are not suitable nor permitted by our carriers. 

Underground 1.9m Tanks:

• All 1.9m Undergrounds are delivered free to your site (see notes and exceptions). 

• Delivery is via Promax or one of its appointed contractors. Delivery normally will take within current advised lead time from placement of your order.   

• Truck and Trailer access is required.    

• Unloading of the tank is the responsibility of the customer.

• A contact person and phone number must be provided to receive delivery.  

Delivery Cancellation Fee:

• Customer requests for an alternative delivery date, rescheduling or re-routing of the carrier, will incur a fee of $800 per tank. Excessive delays will incur storage fees.

Notes and Exceptions:  

• Please check with Promax (or your dealer) for the terms applying to some areas and outer Islands.

• Where additional freight costs are incurred these will be passed on to the customer - e.g. Ferries/barges/off road cartage/Hiab/cranes/non standard transport etc.

• Note that freight surcharges may apply on certain products.

• Truck and trailer road access is required.

Please check with your Promax Customer Service Representative to clarify details and/or if a freight cost to client is chargeable. 

Accepting Deliveries, Damages & Returns:

Before signing for a delivery, check all parts are there, and the product is not damaged. Please note we must be notified of goods damaged in transit NO later than 24-hours after the receipt of goods and all damaged packing must be retained for insurance purposes. Claims for Damage-in-Transit will not be accepted if a POD is signed as received in good order & condition.

To return, please contact us IMMEDIATELY.  Goods returned without a return authority form will not be accepted.

ALL returns for ANY reason must have a “Return Authority” form completed and approved by Promax within 30 days from the date of invoice. Goods purchased more than 30 days prior is non-refundable.

A restocking fee of 15% of invoice value, or $100 (whichever is greater) applies for goods returned, unless for reasons attributed to our company.  If non-standard product is supplied, then a restocking fee of 40% shall apply.

All returns will also incur a freight charge.

Availability Exclusions:

Freight Tracking: 

The invoice will be sent to the main email address you provide us with. The freight tracking number is located on the invoice.  

Conditions of Sale: 

Acceptance: Each order shall constitute acceptance by the Customer of these Terms and Conditions of Trade and Promax’s Standard Terms and Conditions – Goods. 

Changes to this Agreement

These terms serve as a guide, Promax reserves the right to alter these terms without notice.
