Balmoral Apartments Basement Tanks

Previous Next

Basement brilliance from Promax

Who: Cassidy Construction / 22 Degrees Ltd

Products: 2 x 15,000 litre Transport Tanks

Where: Balmoral Rd, Auckland

Why: Cassidy Construction needed to install stormwater detention tanks in the basement of an apartment complex in Balmoral Road, Auckland. Working with 22 Degrees, an Auckland-based building engineering consultancy, Cassidy Consisting Construction had two issues to contend with: a limited footprint and a very low ceiling. Basements in modern apartment buildings aren’t known for being spacious, and conventional tanks were out of the question for this particular project. However, the Promax tank range is so extensive we were able to supply something that you would typically see on the back of a truck!

What: Promax transport tanks have a lower profile than most, and we thought they would make a great fit in a confined space with low ceilings. We supplied two 15,000 litre tanks, and, as we thought, they went nicely into this limited corner area. As well as 30,000 litres of total stormwater detention capacity, Promax also provided these tanks with PE flanges welded for interconnections and stainless steel lids to enable them to seal with up to four metres of head. These transport tanks are firmly in place in the basement and they are not going anywhere. Even more proof that a Promax tank solution often comes from out of the box – or, in this case, from the back of a truck!.
